Sustainable Foods- School Gardening

Solomon Elementary is a large elementary school of about 1000 students, consisting of  all military dependents.  The number of students attending Solomon Elementary School is inconsistant due to Military families moving.  Most of the children are in the primary grades with kindergarten and first grade having the largest population.

Based on the school year of 2014-15, the school is made up of mostly three ethnicities.  It consists of 19.6% Blacks, 15.9% Hispanics, and 49.6% Whites.  Compared to other schools in Hawaii, there are not a significant amount of diversity due to the students coming from military dependents.
